Hey everyone, I've been looking to get a treadmill for my house but my budget is a bit tight. Normally I go running outside but it's nice to stay home once and a while.

I found this list of treadmills but I'm not too familiar with most of them. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a similar situation to yours. I also usually run in the park, but in the rain I prefer to stay at home. I've been thinking about a treadmill for a long time and decided on buying a folding treadmill. It is inexpensive and very convenient to use, besides it does not take up much space. If you do not plan to use it daily, then this is the most suitable option. In addition, it has all the necessary basic functions for a comfortable workout. I have been using mine for more than a year now and was especially glad that it was there during the lockdown.

There are conventional (mechanical) and magnetic treadmills. In both cases, the track works without an electric drive and moves due to the athlete's efforts. Models with a magnetic load mechanism have a smoother stroke. For ordinary people, the canvas sometimes moves in jerks. This type of treadmill is as close as possible to the conditions of running on the street. The speed is set by the athlete himself – there is no need to interact with the monitor, which helps a lot with interval running. Another plus is that such tracks do not need a power supply. Therefore, if we talk about the best budget treadmills, this is among the tracks from the list on sportsgearmetry.com.

I don't think the best idea is to invest in a treadmill if you are a beginner. However, if you want to lose weight and fat and control it, I think investing in good scale weight is worth it. For example, I chose to buy an inexpensive treadmill and order this scale Best Smart Scale | Bathroom Scale | Weight Scale. It has multiple functions, showing your actual progress and body measurements. It's the perfect gadget for your house and true motivation. With it, I was able to lose almost 15 pounds.

By the way, have you been running on a treadmill barefoot? And just so you know, this is a great way to develop your abilities. Running barefoot develops the muscles of the feet, thereby straightens posture, relieves stress from the knees and spine not only in training, but also in everyday life, which will avoid problems with the musculoskeletal system. The main postulate of barefoot running is to start smoothly and with minimal volumes. At the end of a regular workout, take off your sneakers and run 300m barefoot at an easy pace. Find out more about it using Complete Guide to Running Barefoot on a Treadmill in 2022.
